The festival was an exercise in color and smell. Brightly painted signs announced the cheap African woodworking, handprinted cloths, haircare products and other various items for sale at each table. Food smells hit us immediately, and we walked past huge steel barbecues with meat and vegetables noisily steaming on them. |
